VEGETABLE TASTE

A contemporary take on the Mediterranean diet: this is what Kioene, a specialist in plant-based, protein-rich recipes for over 30 years, aims to offer.
The products of this brand are designed to enrich consumers’ diets with taste and lightness, thus offering delicious flavors and well-being at the same time. Among its products, the brand has a vast choice of Fresh and Frozen Foods as well as Sweet Treats.
In the Frozen Food line, rebranded by RBA Design, we have the following three segments:
Gli Essenziali: second courses as well as iconic products of the brand, including Spinach Burger, Chickpea Burger, and MiniBurger with grilled vegetables. Ideal in a bun but also to be accompanied by fresh and crunchy vegetables, thus playing on different textures.
I Congusto: designed as a vegetable side dish for adults and children, they satisfy all palates. Among these, the Gocc(i)e with Mushrooms, the Gocc(i)e with Garden Vegetables and the Gocc(i)e with Spelt, Tomato, and Asparagus.
Gli Sfiziosi: whether alone or with your loved ones, these crunchy recipes are perfect to tease as finger food. Based on rice and soy, the Mini Vegetable Cutlets become an innovative protein mix, which makes aperitifs even more delicious.

THE REBRANDING: THE DYNAMIC GELO LINE

The current line of frozen foods shifts the consumer’s attention to consumption occasions, in order to create a real “journey” that includes finger foods, side dishes, and complete meals.
For this reason, RBA Design has worked on a tone of voice capable of addressing a wide range of consumers. This broader target, defined as flexitarian, includes those who are inclined to follow a semi-vegetarian diet while not being strictly vegetarian.
And this is what the Gelo line aims at, crafting new taste experiences with recipes that can both enrich everyday dishes and become culinary surprises for guests.
Kioene firmly believes that the choices made at the table are fundamental to reducing our environmental impact. To convey this message of sustainability, we chose eco-compatible packaging for the products, made of FSC-certified cardboard that can be recycled into paper.
The pack enhances the product and gives ample space to the reference line, guiding the consumer in his choice. Compared to the previous design, the new system pack expresses the line segmentation in a dynamic and lively way. This is thanks to the color palette and the vertical use of sub-brands, characterized by unconventional typography.
The real protagonist of the pack is the visual of the product: a real explosion of taste and well-being, in which the main ingredients are suspended in a dynamism that always extends vertically, and that offers an idea of the taste and lightness of the products in a cheerful, innovative way: the products are a good source of fiber and vitamins, do not contain milk and eggs, and are low in saturated fats.
Other useful information for the consumer, such as cooking instructions and nutritional values, can be found on the back of the pack, where a QR code allows the consumer to start their Kioene culinary journey and discover all the tasty recipes that can accompany the chosen product.
