Gallo Basmati rice, packaging design of the new Gallo Basmati line

RBA Design creates the new Basmati line with Riso Gallo

Over the last few years, Basmati rice has freed itself from ethnic consumption and has entered the mainstream of Italian consumption habits, becoming the second most widespread variety after Carnaroli and even overtaking the Arborio quality. . A consumption that began as a focus on well-being and healthy eating, which then expanded into the habits of Italian families for the preparation of side dishes, salads and the latest trend in cooking, poké.

From this perspective and with an eye on a broad consumer target, RBA Design worked with Riso Gallo to rethink the offer of this product, expanding the range with three references of Basmati Rice, all from sustainable agriculture . A concept that has tended to emphasize the differences between the products offered, while maintaining a common thread that speaks to modern families.

They are born like this:

Perfumed Basmati: the most traditional, for those who love the scent of classic Basmati, the ideal base to give an exotic touch to all recipes. An authoritative image was chosen for this product, highlighted by the use of the color blue and the image of the pure product.

Wholemeal Basmati: dedicated to health enthusiasts, with a rich and authentic taste. Brown color and ears of rice decorate the pack, underlining a reference to healthy cooking, also taken from the recipe proposed in the image.

Basmati with Red&Black: for younger and more creative consumers, a blend suitable for poké and the most imaginative recipes. . A cheerful, lively image, a colorful recipe and a sunny yellow color to enhance the characteristics of this product.

The packaging created by RBA Design enhances the type of rice offered, giving great emphasis to the name Basmati, but also to its specific declination. For this reason, the creative work favored the choice to emphasize quality, giving value to the Himalayan origin, which underlines the authenticity and provenance from sustainable agriculture . A specific logo on the front of the pack highlights this company commitment. The concept of sustainability is also the basis of the creation of the eco-compatible packaging, produced in FSC certified cardboard and recyclable plastic.

The most useful information for consumers is also highlighted on the packs: the cooking time and the type of preparations for which rice is most suitable.
